Description
This beautiful, compact perennial is also known as a Miniature Hollyhock (All the beauty of hollyhocks without the issues of strong winds knocking them over). Sidalcea ‘Little Princess’ forms neat bundles of attractive, rounded and shallowly lobed flowers, glossy mid-green leaves at the base. Flower spikes, between 30-60cm high, carry big, silky, hollyhock-like, pale-pink blooms with fringed petals. And, impressively, these saucer-shaped flowers are produced all summer long. Sidalcea ‘Little Princess’, thrives in a loose, humus-rich, sandy garden soil. It will be best in a position in full sun, but is also happy grown in part-shade. It is perfect for gardens with a cottage-garden feel, or for modern garden schemes where it will compliment anything. Fully hardy perennial Sidalcea ‘Little Princess’ is related to the mallow and Lavatera family. Supplied as 3 established shrub in a 9cm pots, ready to plant out.
