Description
Muscari armeniacum, better known as the Grape Hyacinth, produces immensely pretty, purple-blue, bell-shaped flowers that cluster in poker-like heads, looking almost like upside-down bunches of grapes. Resembling a miniature hyacinth, each individual flower is tipped with white and they look stunning against its long, narrow, deep-green leaves when in bloom from April and May. Free-flowering, vigorous and very easy to grow, Grape Hyacinths will rapidly naturalise and spread by seed, creating a sea of blue in the spring. They’re the perfect bulb for inexperienced gardeners, or those short of time who can be guaranteed a fabulous show, whatever their level of experience. Fully deserving its coveted RHS Award of Garden Merit, you can be sure that this is a proven garden performer, guaranteed to be suitable for UK gardeners at every level of experience. You can therefore plant this in the garden with confidence, for stunning displays for many years to come. Best planted in groups in borders or pots, plant them with bright yellow daffodils for a wonderful contrast. Supplied as a pack of 75 bulbs size 7/8, ready to plant out in autumn.
